IONIA, Teos, (540/500-478 B.C.), silver hemitetartemorion (1/48 drachm), (0.112 grams), obv. Griffin head to right, thick neck with lower jaw down tongue curled, horizontal one ear only, Rev. four part incuse square, (cf.Balcer RSN 47, (1968), No.81-83 (p.37, Pl. XV) Group XXXIV). Very fine and extremely rare.

Probably one of the smallest coins in silver from the ancient times.
