REPUBLIC, Struck Coinage, Anonymous Series, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.662 grams), uncertain mint, obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA in relief on tablet, (S.32 [VF ?250], Cr.29/3, Syd. 64d). Obverse surface roughness, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
