FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died A.D.141), AE sestertius, (23.55 grams), issued 147, Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around DIVA FAVSTINA, rev. Aeternitas draped seated to left holding phoenix on globe and sceptre, around AETER NITAS, S C in exergue, (S.4606, BMC 1484, RIC 1103, C.15). Dark brown patina, very fine, scarce.
