SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (3.682 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP ALEXAN DER PIVS AVG, rev. MARS VLTOR, Mars advancing right, holding spear and shield, (S.7882, RIC 246, RSC 161a). Brilliant, as struck with polished fields, about as struck, nearly uncirculated.

With collectors descriptive ticket and Pegasi Numismatics Ann Arbor USA ticket ($225).
