RAAF AIRCREW CATEGORY 2 (SERGEANT), arm badge, eagle above three stars within wreath, embroidered white on dark blue; RAAF summer uniform shoulder board with blackened metal eagle and separate King's crown; ribbon bar, 1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal 1939-45, War Medal 1939-45. The first badge good very fine and scarce, the rest fine. (3)
The Aircrew Category type badges were introduced in 1948 for NCO aircrew. They were much disliked by aircrew and withdrawn from service in 1951.
