INDIA, Zoological Gardens, Calcutta, (1886), in copper 75mm, obv. four elephants cavorting among jungle foliage, rev. wide border in Urdu script, Calcutta Zoo, Gardens, edge plain but inscribed 'Presented to A.A.C. Le Souef Esqr. by the Committee March 1892', (Puddester 876.3). As struck, uncirculated and very rare.

Puddester reports two examples seen another dated on edge March 1892 presented by the Committee to the East Indian Railway Co. See lot ........
