ITALY, Bologna, Antoine Pirrenot (1516-1586), Bishop of Arras (1538 and Cardinal 1561); later cast bronze medal from the original of c.1559-1560, 61mm., by Leone Leoni (1509-1590), obv. bust to right of Perrenot, rev. Durate, the ship of Ulysses nearing a rock on which Sirens are playing with various instruments. Very fine and rare.
Made before 1561 when Antoine Perrenot became cardinal Granvelle
