NERO, (A.D. 54-68), gold aureus, Rome mint, (7.05 grams), issued A.D. 65, obv. laureate head of Nero to right, around NERO CAESAR AVGV[STVS], rev. one end of the temple of Janus showing closed double doors, around [IANVM C]LVSIT PACE P R TERRA MARIQ PARTA, (S.1929, RIC 50, BMC 64, c.114). Weak on parts of the legend, portrait fine, otherwise very good and rare.
