SICILY, Akragas, (Agrigentum), (c. 520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.60 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AKRA behind, rev. crab within circular incuse field, Corinthian helmet to left below, (S.709, BMC 31, cf.SNG ANS 946-7). Flan cracks, otherwise extremely fine and rare.
