PELOPONNESOS, Elis, Olympia, (c.460's-450's B.C.), silver stater, (11.50 grams), obv. eagle to left, horizontally, wings folded down, tail bent down claws grasping a hare to left, rev, thunderbolt with wings curled outwards, with wavy lines below, F A across, (cf.S.2859 [ú1250], cf.Seltman 104 [p.27, Plate III, similar dies, obv.BB [similar dies], rev.**bv*], BCD 327.4 [Leu Numismatik 90, This Coin]). Toned, fine and very rare, unpublished die combination.
