SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.58 grams), Antioch mint, issued period 152-151 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left, leg of throne a winged monster, Tyche holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **[BA]SILEW[S], to left **DH MHTRIOU, SOTHROS*, **PA*/AT monograms to left, **AXR* in exergue, (S.7015, SC 1641.6a, SMA Newell 118, BMC 12, ACNAC Houghton 160). Good very fine.
