PALESTINE, Judaea, Herod Archelaus I, (4 B.C. - A.D. 6), copper prutah, AE 14x17, (1.54 grams), probably Jerusalem mint, obv. anchor, with long slender arms around HP**WDOU*, dotted border, rev. wreath, inside letters inscription **EQ* PAN, (S.5543, AJC 2 [p.239], H.507 [59], Meshorer 57). With dirt still adhering, otherwise very fine, rare.
