SOUTH ARABIA, Sabaeans and Himyarites, under 'Amdan Bayyin [without Yanaf], (mid 1st - 2nd century A.D.), scyphate silver quinarius, (1.468 grams), Raidan mint, obv. male head to right, surrounded by penannular torc, rev. male head right with Himyarite legend around, monogram in field to right, (S.5717, BMC 1-5 [p.70, Pl.XI, 6-9], SNG ANS 1575-1594); South Arabia, Katambania, under Yeda`ab Yanaf, (1st - 2nd century A.D.), convex silver quinarius, (1.338 grams), Harb mint, obv. male head to right, rev. male head right with Himyarite legend around, monogram in field to right and left, (S.5724, BMC 1 [p.75, Pl.XI, 20], SNG ANS 1602-1609). Second slightly scyphate flan and small chip out of edge, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare, first with some dirt adhesion, otherwise extremely fine. (2)
