ANONYMOUS SERIES, (shortly after 211 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.56 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, X behind, rev. Dioscuri to right, ROMA in linear frame, (S.38, Cr.53/2, Syd.140). Slightly off centred, some edge filing, good very fine.
Ex Raoul Phillips Collection and Romanorvm, acquired from Noble Numismatics Sale 77 (lot 3291) and Lakeview Collection. The coin is unusually heavy for the type.
