M. PORCIUS CATO, (Propraetor 47-46 B.C.), silver quinarius, Utica, North Africa mint, (3.63 grams), obv. young male head to right, [M. CATO PRO PR] around, rev. Victory seated to right holding patera, VICTRIX in exergue, (S.1382, Cr.462/1b, RSC Porcia 10a). Weak in places, banker's mark, dark tone, otherwise fine and rare.
