NERO CLAUDIUS DRUSUS (DIED 9 B.C.), struck under Claudius, (A.D. 42), AE sestertius, issued c.A.D.41-50, Rome mint, (25.90 grams), obv. bare head to left of Drusus, around NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMAN[ICVS IMP], rev. Claudius bare-headed seated to left on curule chair, wearing togate, holding branch, weapons and armour around, around TI CLAVDIVS CA[ESAR] AVG P M TR P IMP P P, S C in exergue, (S.1897, RIC 109, BMC 208). Dark green patina, surface roughness and porosity, otherwise about fine and a very rare type.
