NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius, issued c.66, Lugdunum mint, (29.19 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG PONT MAX TR P P P, rev. Ceres on right veiled and draped seated left, holding torch, feet on stool, Annona draped standing facing, right hand on hip, left hand holds cornucopiae, modius between them on altar, ship's stern behind, around ANNON[A AVGVSTI] CERES, S C in exergue, (S.1952, RIC 493 [R2], BMC -, WCN 453). Good fine and a very rare variety.
