GETA, (A.D. 209-212), silver denarius, issued 207, Rome mint, (2.93 grams), obv. bare headed bust to right, around P SEPTIMIVS GETA CAES, rev. PONTIF COS around, Minerva facing head left, with shield and spear, (S.7186, RIC 34b, RSC 104a). Toned, good very fine, scarce.

Ex Marc Melcher Collection and CNG Triton Sale VI, (lot 1676 part), previously from old Bavarian Collection c.1890-1930 and obtained on 31 December 1919 for 3 marks, obtained from NFA Auction XXXI, March 18, 1993 with ticket.
