PARIS 1924, VIII Olympiad, Official Medal of the Participants, in bronze (55mm) engraver, Raoul Benard, minted by Monnaie de Paris. Extremely fine.

This and the following 45 lots were collected by the widow of Lionel Cox who with Russell Mockridge won the tandem 2000 metres event at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games and later a silver medal in the 1000m sprint. After the Games, Cox rode successfully on the European circuit, and later took on coaching.
