WOMEN OF AUSTRALIA WWI, badge with one star, reverse impressed no. A78463, by G.& E.Rodd 1940; RSL Badge, large two figure type, impressed no.52983 on reverse; two patriotic tinnies WWI, one in shape of Australia in nickel silver with enamel Union Jack in centre, the other being crossed flags of England and Australia; HMS Victory medalet 1903, in gilt (1) and copper (2) (17mm); miniature medals, 1939 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Defence Medal 1939-45, swing mounted. Fine - exztremely fine. (11)
The HMS Victory medalet was issued by the British & Foreign Sailor's Society (B.F.S.S.) to donors of one shilling and less than five shillings to 'The Nelson Centenary Memorial Fund' and King Edward VII, who was greatly interested in the fund, allowed his initials to be placed on the medalet. Ex Banking and Currency Museum.
