THE ’CANTATA’ Medal, 1885, in silver (25.5mm). Extremely fine. $ It is thought eight hundred of these medals were struck by the Melbourne Mint for choristers at the Melbourne International Exhibition, 1880-81. See ’Medals of the Melbourne International Exhibitions’ by John Sharples, 1996.
