H.M.C.S. Peregrine is a shore establishment at Halifax and referred to by the naval cadets as ’Pretty Grim’. Topclifte is a RAF station in North Yorkshire. During WWII it was a bomber station in RAF Bomber Command. RCAF No 419 and 424 Sqns operated from there and on 1 January 1943 it was transferred to No 6 Group RCAF and became a training station.
