SICILY, Acragas (Agrigentum), (c.422-406 B.C.), AE 31 (or hemilitron), (23.54 grams), obv. eagle with open wings standing to right on hare, rev. crab with crayfish to left below, six pellets around, grape leaf above between claws, (cf.S.1022, Calciati p.165, 11, cf.SNG ANS 1027 [similar dies]). Dark brown patina, nearly fine/fine and a rare type.
