SICILY, Himera, (c.530-482 B.C. [Sear], 480/78-470 B.C. [Westermark]), silver didrachm, (8.61 grams), obv. cock with closed wings strutting to left, rev. crab within circular incuse circular field, (S.715 [Å“650], Westermark 7 [same obverse die. obv.3, rev.6], CNG 28 [lot 30, same dies], cf.SNG Sweden (Forbat) 125, BMC 24, SNG Cop.302). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Only two other coins known from these dies. Only 196 didrachms of all dies were recorded by Westermark in 1999.
