EUBOIA, Histiaia, (c.350-340 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.02 grams), obv. head of nymph Histiaia wreathed in ivy, rev. cow standing to right, vine with two bunches of grapes, **ISTI* in exergue, bunch of grapes to right, (S.2494. [Å“140], BMC 1, Lanz BCD Catalogue No.111, [lot 360, realised 180 Euros +], Pozzi 3403). Toned, very good - fine and rare.

Ex BCD Collection and previously from Dennis Devine, February 1985 for $180 with tickets.
