MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, issued 162-3, Rome mint, (3.20 grams), obv. M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXIII, around laureate head to right, rev. SALVTI AVGVSTOR AVG COS III in exergue, Salus standing to left feeding snake twined around altar, and holding sceptre, (cf.S.4027, RIC 207, RSC 543). Toned, extremely fine/good very fine.
