TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 1956 Pte P.E.Heery 2/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 1956 Sjt P.E.Heery. 2 Bn. A.I.F. on second and third medals. All medals impressed. Spot of verdigris on third medal otherwise very fine.
Private Peter Edward Heery, age 28, Ashfield, Enl.13Jan1915 with 5th Reinf 2 Bn, stated prior service with N.S.Wales Police; Emb.13Apr1915 ’Kijarra’; joined 2Bn at Gallipoli 09Jul1915; transfer to Anzac Police (2nd Bn Anzac Provost Corps) 03Apr1916; promoted Sergeant 12Apr1916; 22Aug1916, Abbassia, sick to hospital, Pyrexia and then diagnosed with Myocarditis; 01Sep1916 discharged to 3AGH for RTA; Disch.06Jan1917.
