ANGLO-BOER WAR MEDAL 1920, (Anglo-Boere Oorlog Medal 1899-1902). Burg. N.G.Malherbe. Impressed. Extremely fine.

Burger Nicolas Gerhardus Malherbe, Wepener Commando, served from 11Oct1899 until Aug1902 when captured and then transferred to POW camp in Ceylon. Participated in battles of Waterwerk, Senekal and Ficksburg; served under Kmdt J.P.Roux and Genl. C.R.de Wet. Anglo-Boer War Medal to Wepener Commando is very scarce. With research including copy of application form for the medal signed by recipient and his commanding officer who was present.
