TRENCH ART, Arabic type dagger blade in brass with map of Australia as handle, etched pattern on blade and with the word ’France’ on one side and ’Souvenir’ on the other; brass napkin ring, engraved around the outside, ’Souvenir of the Somme’; New Testament bible, 1915, inside front cover ’Presented to the Members of the N.S.W. Contingent of Australian Imperial Force, by Friends of the N.S.W Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, Sydney, April, 1915’, inside flyleaf is written, ’To Alma / From Fred / 6.5.17 / Abbassia / Cairo.’ Very fine.
