H.R.Drinkwater. 2.N.Z.E.F. 1941.); 1939-45 Star; Africa Star (8th Army); Italy Star; Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45; New Zealand Service Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1940-41 (Greece). Military Medal only named, impressed, others unnamed. Very fine.

MM: London Gazette 4 November 1941. 'For gallant and distinguished service in the Middle East.'

Together with extracts from the official unit war histories, detailing the action in the fighting retreat to Larissa during the Greek campaign and describing the action in which the recipient was awarded the Military Medal.
