CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal by the Royal Society, (1784), in silver (43mm) by L. Pingo (MH 374; BHM 258; Eimer 780). Attractively toned, slight abrasions to the field in front of face and obverse rim nick, otherwise extremely fine.
