NEW ZEALAND, Queen Victoria pattern penny, 1879, by Joseph Moore, Birmingham (A.399). Mostly red uncirculated and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 79, lot 886 and Sale 38, lot 634, previously in the bulk lot purchased by Baldwin at the Shorthouse Sale in London, August 1916 (Sotheby). Shorthouse, of Birmingham, was a close friend of Joseph Moore.
