GROUP OF SIX TO FLIGHT SERGEANT BERNARD JAMES BROOKS, Royal Air Force British Empire Medal (GVIR); 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45 (MID); Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (GVIR). British Empire Medal named engraved, Long Service and Good Conduct Medal impressed, others unnamed. Very fine.

BEM: London Gazette 27 February 1940. 'For services in HMS Ajax at the Battle of the Plate. He carried out most efficient work in catapulting the aircraft during the action and showed initiative and did valuable work with the Upper Deck Repair Party.'

MID: London Gazette 23 February 1943. 'For bravery and resource in operations in Madagascar while serving in HMS Kipanga (RNAS Kilidini Kenya) during Operation STREAMLINE JANE, the operations at Majunga and Tanarive.'
