BOMBAY PRESIDENCY, Indian design, Surat Mint gold double panchia or ten rupees (7.86 grams) in the name of Shah Alam II (1759-1806), regnal year 51, pm 1 (three lozenges, one over two) without A.H. date (cf. Pr.250-1, KM.; SAC 667). Extremely fine and extremely rare.

Ex R.A. Climpson Collection Noble Numismatics Sale 85 (lot 2096) and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 51 (lot 2652).
