PAEONIA, Kingdom of, Patraos, (c.340-315 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.60 grams), obv. head of Apollo to right, with laureate, rev. horseman spearing fallen enemy, who holds spear and shield, around below **[PAT]RAOU*, MH monogram above left, (S.1520, Paeonian Hoard 85-96 [same obverse die], BMC 6, Weber 2232 [same dies]). Scarce and unusual obverse die, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
