CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, crudely engraved on the obverse of a cartwheel penny, `Letty / Platt / H.B' entwined in a floral garland. Very fine.

No record of a woman convict named Letty (Leticia or Scarlett) Platt can be found, although interestingly the Powerhouse Museum Collection does contain an undated convict token with an engraving of a male convict with the initials H.B.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
