UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY, prize medal in silver (42mm) by Amor, obverse, coat of arms of University of Sydney on a raised shield, legend, 'University:Of:Sydney:New:South:Wales', reverse, open wreath 'Prize Medal' above, inscribed 'Junior Public Exam / 1893 / Arithmetic / Fritz William Webb'. Small edge bump on obverse at 2 o'clock, nicely toned, nearly extremely fine.

Fritz William Webb graduated in 1902 from University of Sydney as Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery. He was the Medical Officer of the Croydon Hospital in North Queensland when he died of typhoid fever at the age of 27 years. His academic certificates are held in the State Library of New South Wales along with the Webb family papers 1830-1968. With research.
