GOLD RETURN FOB, maltese cross in 9 carat gold 28mm x 28mm (5.0gms), all hand engraved by a local jeweller, obverse with photograph inset, reverse inscribed 'Presented/By/Warracknabeal Section V.Rangers/to Pte. C. Thompson/On His Return From Active Service/In/South Africa/2-5-1902'. A rare piece of Boer War memorabilia, very fine.
