SOUTHERN BRITAIN, Atrebates uninscribed issue, British "Remic" (c.55-45 B.C.), gold quarter stater, abstract style, (1.37 grams), obv. abstracted head of Apollo to right, rev. Celticized disjointed triple tailed horse to right, dahlia above horse, (S.48, Van A. 220-1 notes as rare). Ragged edge, very fine and rare and with collector's packet description.

Ex Pat Boland Collection. The Atrebates occupied the territory that is today Essex, and counties to the west.
