TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), gold aureus, issued 107, Rome mint, (7.24 grams), obv. laureate bust, draped and cuirassed of Trajan, around IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P, rev. Ceres standing to left holding corn-ears and long torch, around COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC, (S.3087, RIC 109, C.65). Test cut on neck, banker's mark on obverse and reverse and slightly bent, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
