MACEDON, Roman Provincial issue, (c.90-75 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.32 grams), Thessalonica mint, obv. head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon and flowing hair, [MAKE**DONWN]*, **Q* behind, rev. AESILLAS / Q above, club between money chest and quaestor's chair, all within olive wreath, (S.1463, Bauslaugh Group VI, SNG Cop. 1330, BMC 81-83). Grey tone, short on flan, extremely fine and scarce.
