SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus IV Epiphanes, AE 28, (175-164 B.C.), Antioch Mint, (17.152 grams), obv. head of Isis to right with wreath of corn, dotted circle around, rev. eagle standing to right on thunderbolt, **BASILEWS ANTIOXOU* to right, **QEOU EPIFANOUS* to left, (S.6986 [p.653], BMC 45-6 (p.38, PL.XII, 12), Newell SMA 60 (p.25, fig. 3), SNG Cop. 192, ACNAC Houghton 122 (p.8, Pl.7), SNG Fitz. 5641). Nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition and comes with collector's card description.
Ex Cappenalle Collection and from Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 86 (lot 3322) and previously the Henry Clay Lindgren Collection.
