City-goddess (Tyche) to right turreted, COL MET ANT ONINIAN around, (S.2702, BMC 16ff. [p.85], SNG Cop. 179); Severus Alexander, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 228, (19.9 grams), obv. laureate bust of Severus Alexander to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP CAES M AVR SEV ALEXANDER AVG, rev. around P M TR P VII COS II P P, S C in exergue, emperor sacrificing to left, holding patera over lighted altar, (S.-, RIC 484, C.358) (illustrated). Green earthy patina, for the first coin, very fine and scarce, second coin very fine, both come with collector's card description. (2)
