[p.85], SNG Cop. 179); Severus Alexander, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 228, (19.9 grams), obv. laureate bust of Severus Alexander to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP CAES M AVR SEV ALEXANDER AVG, rev. around P M TR P VII COS II P P, S C in exergue, emperor sacrificing to left, holding patera over lighted altar, (S.-, RIC 484, C.358) (illustrated).
