TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius, issued 117, Rome mint, (3.16 grams), obv. laureate draped bust to right of Trajan, around IMP CAES NER TRAIAN OPTIM AVG GERM DAC, rev. radiate and draped bust of Sol to left, around PARTHICO P M TR P COS VI P P [S P Q R], (S.3140, RIC 326, RSC 189a). Very fine/nearly extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex McHugh Collection. The Reka-Devnia hoard contained 5217 denarii of Trajan but only 4 of this variety.
