LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), AE sestertius, issued 161, Rome mint, (29.44 grams), obv. IMP CAES L AVREL VERVS AVG around, laureate cuirassed bust to right, rev. Lucius Verus and Marcus Aurelius standing with clasped hands, around CONCORD AVGVSTOR T P II, S C across field, COS II in exergue, (cf.S.5367, RIC 1287, C.30). An exceptional coin, dark black-brown patina, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
