SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, commemorative issue, struck shortly after his death, (3.37 grams), obv. bearded bare head to right, around DIVO SEVERO PIO, rev. CONSECRATIO around, eagle standing facing on globe, (S.7052, RIC 191c, RSC 84). As struck, grey patination with golden highlights, good extremely fine and rare.
