CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), AE sestertius, issued 210-213, Rome mint, (22.71 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around M AV[REL ANTONI]NVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Securitas seated right holding sceptre, altar in front, around SECVRITATI PERPETVAE, S C in exergue, (S.6952, RIC 512d, C.576). Green patina, with surface roughness, otherwise fine and very scarce, comes with collectors card description.

Ex Cappenalle Collection and from Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 63 (lot 3756) and previously from Spink Australia Sale 31 (lot 1943).
