EDWARD THE CONFESSOR, (1042-1066), silver penny, hammer cross type, issued 1059-1062, obv. EDPAR D REXI, crowned bust of king to right with sceptre, rev. ATSERE ON PICDFOR, (Atsere of Thetford) with short cross voided limbs terminating in a crescent, (S.1182, N.828, Br.8, BMC xi). Toned, weak in places, very fine and rare.
