SICILY, Akragas, (Agrigentum), (c. 520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.91 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to right, down and around backwards from behind AKPA[**G] AS*, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (S.709, Jenkins, Gela, Group II, pl. 37, 6 (same obverse die); SNG ANS 933 (same dies); SNG Cop. -). Traces of blue and gold patination, extremely fine and a rare variety, lot includes collector tickets.
